Obesity Statistics
At the end of February, we wrote a post about how 65% of all Americans are overweight. This is a terrifying number. But here are some more numbers and stats (from the National Center for Health) that are found within that 65%:
- In the United States alone, approximately 3.8 million people are over 300 pounds.
- over 400,000 Americans (mostly males) are 400 pounds or heavier.
- Childhood obesity has tripled in just twenty years.
- The U.S. Surgeon General Report declared that they estimated 300,000 deaths every year are caused from obesity.
Many Americans have lost control of their lives are spiraling out of control. The fact of the matter is that when someone is overweight, there are at a higher risk level for health issues (diabetes, for one). There are many ways to combat this plague of obesity. A healthy lifestyle is a must (eating right and exercising). This is where Akavar 20/50 can help.
