If you take akavar after you eat, will you still lose weight?
October 15th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
Teresa: Good question! I imagine that you will. I sometimes forget to take it before I eat, and then take it after a meal…and it seems to still work okay. But according to the directions, it works best when you take it before meals, so I’d try to stick to that. Make sure you drink water beforehand though, so you don’t have a totally empty stomach.
Best wishes!

As a beginner Akavar user how long should i consume two pills daily as the bottle states? And also the pamphlet states about the caloric restrictor, but not the pulling of fat from the body. I’m on day two and i’m both excited and curious.
November 13th, 2007 at 7:25 am
11-13-07 today will be day 7 for me and the Akavar pill; i have lost 3 lbs. already. I haven’t experienced any side effects or jitters. I have been eating more healthy and exercising 5 days per week. I walk 30 minutes two days and do strength training and toning 3 days. I also eat because i know i have to because i actually don’t feel hungry and when i do eat i can’t consume as much as i normally would. I’ll keep you posted with my results weekly good or bad.
Thanks,
Connie S.

i was just wondering what would happen if more that 4 pill was consumed if a person takes 5 or 6 in a day can it hurt your system
November 14th, 2007 at 8:19 am
I wanted to ask a quick question… I recently purchased the product and am looking forward to seeing results. The instructions say to take two capsules before your main meals. Why is this? I eat a small breakfast and small lunch, and dinner is usually my biggest meal. I have been taking the capsules before breakfast and before lunch. Will this be a problem? Will I not see results this way? I am afraid to take it before dinner because I don’t want to not be able to sleep… And does it have to be 15 minutes before the meal? Any problems if it is more than that? Or less than that?
Please advise…
What would your suggestion be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stacie: I don’t recommend taking more than the advised amount. If you’re looking to lose even more weight, you could improve your physique further by working out more! Good luck!
Elizabeth: Thanks for your comment! They suggest taking the pill before meals because the pill can boost your metabolism and reduce the calories your body absorbs from that meal. If you’d like, you can try taking one before dinner instead of two, and see how you feel. I’ve noticed that my body has gotten used to the natural caffeine and it doesn’t noticeably affect me anymore.

I have been busy with preparing for the holiday; however, i just wanted to let you know that since Nov.6,2007, i have lost another 3 lbs and some inches. I can already feel the difference in my clothes. What is you advice on eggnog and social cocktails for the upcoming holidays and events?
November 28th, 2007 at 4:51 pm
I am on day two with Akavar, and so far so good. No side effects or anything. I take the pill 15 min before i eat anything, i really don’t eat full meals, just a lil something like a sandwitch here and there, is doing this a bad idea? Should I eat full meals?
Plus i don’t have time to work out because of school, but I have gym, is that enough exercise to make the product work faster?
Thanks for your time

I am about to start on the Akavar pills and I had a question; how exactly do these pills work? The bottle and the website don’t exactly say. I’m 5′2 160 lbs and I just can’t seem to lose the weight in my hips and thighs. Any help would be really really appreciated!
Thanks,
Mandy

I just started taking akavar 20/50 on dec 3 2007, how long typically does it take for results to begin to show? Do any of you know other people that have used this product with great results? do you have to workout to get top results? (i think i can answer that myself but i’m just curious and slightly lazy :))
good luck to all!

hello I’m a 32 years old and I weigh 160 lbs and I have a question, akavar is only caloric restrictor or fat burning too? and remove the exinsting fat from the boby? thanks for your answer!
December 12th, 2007 at 6:44 am
I’ve noticed that these pills have a real laxative effect on me! Is this how they are supposed to work? I am only taking 2 pills a day just because the caffeine hit is so big for me - and these two pills last me until the next day AFTER breakfast! I’ve noticed weight loss already - and decreaded appetite (great!), but just wanted re assurance over the whole laxative thing as I heard that it makes your bowl ‘lazy’ over time - is this true?

Connie: Great job on your weight loss thus far! For the holidays, I would recommend that you eat in moderation heavier items such as eggnog and social cocktails. Akavar should help you feel less hungry, so you won’t overindulge during this time. For more holiday help tips, visit http://www.jflmag.com/healthy-holiday-eating and http://www.jflmag.com. Happy holidays!
December 18th, 2007 at 10:22 am
Brittney: The directions say to take it before main meals so I would recommend that you take it before one or two of your biggest meals such as breakfast and lunch, and not before you eat snacks. It should help lower your appetite so you will end up eating less than normal anyway. If you work out for thirty minutes in gym, that should be enough to increase your weight loss efforts with the pill. Consult your doctor before you start a strenuous exercise plan and don’t take the pills if you are under 18.
December 18th, 2007 at 10:29 am
Mandy: The pills work as a caloric restrictor, or in other words it reduces the calories your body consumes by delaying gastric processing. Akavar can help you significantly lose weight without diet and exercise, although it’s not guaranteed to work for everyone. Good luck with your weight loss!
December 18th, 2007 at 10:33 am
Meghann: Results vary with each individual, so there’s not a set time when you will start to see results. However, most people begin to see results within a few weeks. If you read the other comments, many other users have lose weight successfully with Akavar. Check out this link too for more proof. http://sg.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070827110223AABccZW
Akavar will work without diet and exercise, but adding an exercise program should enhance your weight loss results. Consult a doctor before you start a exercise plan.
December 18th, 2007 at 10:40 am
Martha Diaz: Akavar is designed to work as a caloric restrictor, but it also contains caffeine which has been proven to help with burning more fat and provide more energy (great for energy during exercising). Mainly, it will help you lose your weight (and fat) by restricting your caloric intake.
Victoria: I’m glad to hear about your weight loss! Akavar recommends that you take only 1 capsule if you are sensitive to caffeine, which it sounds like you are, and to consult your doctor before taking it. Try taking it right before or during your meals and be sure to eat a full meal and drink a full glass of water to help avoid these stomach problems. Don’t take it with other caffeine-containing foods or beverages. For more help on how Akavar works, call their customer service help line at 1-800-898-5153.

I bought my first bottle of Akavar today. According to Midwest Living December 2007 there is a “Money Bake Guarantee”. If this product doesnt work for me, how do I go about getting my “Money Back Guarantee”? I purchased this product at a retail store. Will the “Guarnatee” still be granted?

Mandy - I’m right with you at 5′2″ and 160 lbs. I just started taking the product yesterday Jan 7. Since you’ve started at the same point as me, and you’ve been on the product about 2 months, I’m wondering how you are doing. I get the jitters sometimes with the caffeine, but I am no longer falling asleep in meetings at work!!! : ) I am taking 2 caps per day prior to lunch. Will keep you posted. I REALLY WANT TO READ THE SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE ON THE STUDY CITED IN THE AKAVAR PRODUCT ADS - CAN SOMEONE PROVIDE A LINK FOR ME? Were the subjects taking 2 or 4 caps per day?
January 11th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
I started Akavar one week ago and I have lost 6 pounds. I too have experienced the laxative effect, but Im not complaining because I had issues with bowel movements in the past. This pill is potenent so I’ve only been taking 1 a day and it still does the job. I literally have to make myself eat. I cant wait to see how much I lose. Thanks Akavar!

Hi, I’m 24 and weigh 160. I bought my first bottle of Akavar Monday morning and have been taking it nearly a week. I felt a little “disconnected” at first but after I eat lunch or so I feel fine and just really motivated for physical activity and not sluggish like i’ve been feeling for so long. The caffeine affects me some, but nothing unbarable. I’m sure my body will get used to it after a few days. To start out I take 2 capsules before breakfast and 1 before lunch. I was very apprehensive because there are so many negative reviews on all diet pills, but so far, within 4 days I’ve already lost 3 pounds and I’m feeling better! I’ll keep you updated.

Hi everyone. I have been taking Akavar for over a month now and I have not changed any eating habits but I have only lost a couple pounds. I take one pill before meals twice a day. Should I be taking 2 to lose more weight?
January 23rd, 2008 at 6:05 am
If you buy it at GNC, they stand behind all their products and will make a refund as long as you have the empty bottle and a receipt.
January 30th, 2008 at 11:22 am

Hey Leah, the directions on Akavar say you can take up to 4 pills per day, although most people seem to use two. I would suggest taking just a few days and working your way up and see if you notice a difference. You could take 1 before each meal (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Keep in mind that you dont want to lose weight too fast because that could be unhealthy. A safe goal is to lose between 1 and 2 pounds per week, so dont feel too discouraged for only having lost a few pounds so far.

Hi! Just wondering - if you have reached your desired weight limit do you have to continue using Akavar? I heard somewhere that once you have lost the weight and stop Akavar you will immediately gain back your weight. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, I’m just wondering what I should do once I’ve lost weight. Continue the pills? Or discontinue? I really don’t want to gain back the weight I lost so I really need to know.
Thanks!

hi i just bought akavar and it says to take 2 pills before each meal..but i only have 1 big meal should i take one to start off on?? and will it have an affect on my weight?
February 28th, 2008 at 5:42 am
I’m looking into akavar. Is there anymore information like a pamphlet? the website is pretty vague.
February 29th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
If you have reached your ideal weight, then you probably do not need to take Akavar regularly. Take it occasionally to help maintain your current weight.
Akavar is also far more effective when taken in conjunction with proper exercise and healthy eating. You will not only see better results, but faster ones as well. Make sure you are eating fewer calories than you can burn each day, which is what Akavar was created to do.
March 3rd, 2008 at 11:08 am
If you are not supposed to exceed 4 pills a day, how can you take 2 before each meal (assuming 3 main meals a day)? Will 1 pill before each meal be sufficient?
March 6th, 2008 at 8:56 am
I am a 24 year old woman who has had 2 children in the past 5 years and struggling with the weight. I dropped 30 pounds in 2 months before I graduated from highschool but I was in dance, aerobics, weight training, and track. I don’t have that time anymore so I’m hoping that with Akavar and going for walks once or twice a week will help. I will keep you posted on my weight loss. If I can lose the weight with the help of Akavar then I will be a believer.

Thanks!

I just took my first two pill today right before lunch, and I have taken many different types of pills like this with nothing happening. I was very impressed. I went to my favorite Mexican
resturant for lunch and I ordered the same thing I always do for lunch which is one taco/rice/beans. I can always finish my taco and the majority of my rice and beans. Today I ate half my taco and very few bites of the rice/beans, and felt full. I am so excited about taken this product. My reason for starting is I went to the Dr. today and when the nurse weighted me and I saw the results I said “oh no way”. As I went to pay the receptionist told me I owed nothing because I had a credit. I left there and went straight to get this product. I’m very excited about this!!!!!!! Thanks Bunches!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question I am 200+ pounds over weight… And I have always been a big person. Will Akavar 20/50 help me lose weight? I just bought my first bottle and today started taking it before I ate breakfast. I don’t eat big meals so I also want to make sure that is will still be okay for me take Akavar 20/50?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:44 am
Nicole, I would suggest you take the pills before breakfast and lunch because of the caffeine issue. (You want to be able to fall asleep at night, right?) There are apparently many different ways you can take this pill. For example, one pill before every meal or two before breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner, etc. This is only my second day taking Akavar so I’m only starting out with two a day because I seem to be sensitive to the caffeine. My friend has been taking it for a few weeks though and she’s lost 14 pounds already!
July 18th, 2008 at 9:51 am
Tequilla - Akavar 20/50 is for anyone looking to lose weight. The supplement acts as a “caloric intake restrictor” meaning it helps reduce the number of calories you consume. And to lose weight, you must consume fewer calories than you burn. Akavar helps suppress your appetite so you do not consume so may calories.
If you are worried about taking too much Akavar with your small-portion meals, start by just taking one pill at a time and you can work up. Good luck with your weight loss!

Hello! I am considering taking this pill but have a few questions.
1) i’m 5′2 and 140 pounds but i have a lot of muscle. i would like to lose weight in my thighs and stomach. even though i am not considered very overweight, will akavar still work for me?
2) do you have to take a full bottle of the pills for it to fully work?
3) once you stop taking the pill, will you gain the weight back?
Thank you in advance

I just bought my first bottle and I am sensitive to caffeine. Should I take only one pill a day or should I take 2 pills a day per 2 meals. I am very excited about trying this pill. I am overweight and I have sleep apnea. They told me if I loose weight I might not have to use my machine. I don’t weigh enough to have gastric bypass so I hope this will work.
